About Us

The Kings Area Road Relics (KARR) Club was formed in September of 2012 by a small group of local car enthusiasts who wanted to preserve and enjoy their prized possessions with other car buffs in Kings County who shared the same passion and interest in their old cars.  Classic cars and hot rods are the club’s common bond.  However, the club is not just about cars.  We also share a special unity and friendship as a KARR family.  Most of our members reside in Kings County, and truly cherish their cars from the past and the name, Kings Area Road Relics (KARR).

KARR is a private unincorporated general interest car club. The club is open to just about anyone interested in restoring, cruising, showing, and/or socializing with other car enthusiasts who share the same profound desire and interest in their old cars.  Since we are a private car club, prospective members desiring to join the club can submit an application for a trial membership. During your trial membership period, you will be assigned a sponsor who will help guide you along, and answer any questions you may have. Once all of the eligibility requirements have been met, your sponsor will make a motion to change your membership status from "trial" to "active." Once the motion is made, it will be put to a vote by the club. Our goal is to ensure the club is a good fit and enjoyable for everyone! The club is open to most 1979 and older American made and/or American powered cars & trucks, as well as any special interest, or limited production vehicles.  However, the club does have the ability to make exceptions regarding the age and/or make of the vehicle.  After all, we are a KARR family!

Although unincorporated, the club does maintain a $20.00 a year dues and a commercial general liability policy through Markel Insurance Company, with Hagerty Insurance Agency LLC as the club's agent.

KARR is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and enjoyment of most classic, antique, muscle, special interest, and limited production vehicles.  The only KARR Club hard requirement is “participation!”  Participation includes, but not limited to car shows, cruise-in events, parades, meetings, fun runs, and various other club activities.  The club also strives to be good stewards of the community by participating in local events, as well as giving a little back through donations to local charities.

Although our club is comprised of a wide variety of members and vehicles, our goal is not to be the biggest car club, but the club who has the most fun! So, if you share the same passion for older vehicles and think you might be interested in joining our KARR Club, or just want to know a little more about us, we welcome the opportunity to have you join us at one of our monthly meetings or cruise events, which are listed on the club’s calendar.  However, by chance that doesn’t work for you, please feel free to contact us using our "Contact Us" page.

Hope to see you at one of our KARR events soon.  Until next time,
